Artist Statement
I'm Alana Jenkins, a recent graduate from University of Northwestern- Saint Paul, Minnesota. My major in University was Animation & Illustration. I'm very passionate about being creative and have been throughout my life. My biggest passions are character design, backstory development and color theory. In my own time, I also enjoy costume making, sewing and sculpture.
My approach to my work often consists of taking as much time as needed to gather inspiration from many sources. I spark my mind's eye through music, photography, and others' creativity. In my pieces here, I spent many hours getting to know each character, and they belong to an entire universe!
